Sakhyam Activities

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity,  in spirit, in faith, in purity.
(1 Timothy 4:12)

The Ahmadi Yuvajana Sakhyam has moved forward with the aim of
WORSHIP, STUDY, WITNESS and SERVICE.
The Marthoma Yuvajana Sakhyam is the youth wing of the Marthoma Church.

The Yuvajana Sakhyam is one of the active groups in our Church.
It has strengthened each member to uphold their lives with Godly
honor and lead a life of purity. The Yuvajana Sakhyam activities help our youth
to gain a deeper understanding
of worship and discipleship and it is reflected in the youth's
participation in our church activities

The Sakhyam members meet every Thursdays at 7.30pm at the parsonage except on the 3rd Thursday. Bible study, Bible quiz, debates, intercession, cottage prayer fellowship and camp visits are the regular programs of the Sakhyam.
The Sakhyam members participate actively in almost all parish programs and assist Holy Communion Services on the 1st Wednesday.
We play an active role in the Parish Harvest Festival. The Sakhyam also contributes its efforts in the House to House Carols. A memento is sponsored and distributed to every house visited during the carols.
The Sakhyam organizes convention every year, with speakers invited from India.
In addition to these activities, Sakhyam conducts breakfast sale, annual competition in Bible reading, songs and elocution. It does humanitarian financial support to uplift the needy ones in our society. From time to time, the Sakhyam finds means to provide a marriage aid, educational & medical aids to the needy.

The Sakhyam is always in the forefront of helping the needy and underprivileged. Took up the challenge of giving financial aid for constructing a house for a needy in our diocesan., by utilizing the amount from the raffle draw.

This year , the programs planned are as follows:

Convention
Breakfast Sale
Members Campaign

Competitions and Sports
Talent Night
