It is worth mentioning that a group of dedicated teachers are behind the success of our Sunday School. Teachers meet around 6 times a year to discuss and plan the Programs of Sunday School.

We have around 119 students ranging from Nursery to Seniors.
The activities of Ahmadi Mar Thoma Sunday School in addition to regular classes
are, Teachers' Retreat, V B S, Picnic, Competitions, Examination, Anniversary
and Christmas celebration.
Teachers' Retreat: A retreat before the starting of the term to inspire
and re-dedicate the teachers was conducted on 2nd September 2004.
K U V B S: Students participate with enthusiasm, as it is different from
the routine Sunday School teaching. Kuwait United Vacation Bible School was
conducted from11 to 27. The theme for this year was "Jesus is my friend".
Around 58 students from our Sunday School attended the V B S.
Picnic: Parents, children and teachers participate actively and enjoy
the fun and games of the picnic. This year's picnic was conducted on 24th Sept.
in Sabahiya Garden from 9:00 a m to 3:30p m. with various entertainments such
as sweet picking, filling water in cola bottle, bun biting, musical chair, treasure
hunting etc.
Competitions & Examination:
Annual Exam for all classes will be conducted on the syllabus taught. Nursery
to Primary III have competitions on memory-verses(oral), story telling, singing
and coloring, Junior I to Junior III have competitions on memory- verses(written),
singing, drawing and bible reading, and Intermediate I to Senior III have competitions
on memory - verses(written), Bible reading, elocution, singing and bible quiz.
Annual Exam will be conducted on 3rd Dec 04 and the date for various annual
competitions will be announced later.
Anniversary 2004 & Christmas Celebration
Celebrates with variety Programs including songs, skit, tablaux etc. This year
both will be done together on 30 December, 2004. The prizes for the winners
of the Exam/competitions will be distributed during this occasion.
Children's Year 2004-2005
On completing 10 decades of services, Mar Thoma Sunday School is celebrating
the centenary year as Children's Year with variety Programs. The Ahmadi branch
is joining the celebration with Programs suitable to its circumstances, stretching
from September 04 to May 05.
The Programs are listed below.
(i) Promoting saving habits in children
(ii) Encouraging the children to participate in the needs of less privileged
children. Amount collected from the children will be sent for educational aid
through the diocese.
(iii) Encourage children to participate in the church activities and parish
prayer groups and to dedicate them for evangelistic work.
(iv) Three members, viz, an individual who completed Sunday school in our church,
a senior male member and a senior female member of the parish, who have done
Sunday School education will be honored and they will be sharing their Sunday
School experiences with the children.
(v) Qualify the Sunday School teachers as per the Training Manual provided by
the Samajam.
(vi) Put up a stall in the harvest festival with themes connected to Children's
year.
(vii) To mark the occasion, a hand written copy of the Bible will be prepared
by the joint effort of parish members, Sunday School students and distinguished
visitors.
In conclusion to the centenary celebration, a get together of the Sunday School
family will be held in the second week of May 05.
